President Prabowo Subianto has set the rupiah exchange rate assumption at Rp17,500 per US dollar in the 2027 State Budget Draft (RAPBN).

This was conveyed by Prabowo during his speech on the submission of the 2027 State Budget Bill and Financial Note at the Nusantara Building, DPR RI, Jakarta, Friday (14/8/2026).

“Economic growth in 2027 is targeted to reach 6%, higher than the 2026 State Budget target of 5.4%. We will maintain inflation at around 2.5%, the 10-year government bond yield is estimated at 6.9%, and the rupiah exchange rate is around Rp17,500 per US dollar,” said Prabowo.

In addition to the exchange rate, the government has set several macroeconomic assumptions in the 2027 RAPBN. Economic growth is targeted to reach 6%, an increase compared to the 5.4% target in the 2026 State Budget. Meanwhile, inflation is targeted to remain under control at around 2.5%.

For the 10-year Government Securities (SBN) interest rate, the government estimates it to be at the level of 6.9%. Meanwhile, the crude oil price is estimated at US$75 per barrel, and the government is targeting oil lifting of 610 thousand barrels per day.
