Prabowo Set to Deliver Speech on 2027 RAPBN in DPR Building, Dasco: First Time
In Jakarta, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said President Prabowo Subianto will become the first Indonesian president to deliver a speech on the Macro Economic Framework and the Key Fiscal Policy (KEM-PPKF) in a plenary session of the House of Representatives. The president is scheduled to attend the DPR plenary session at the Parliament Complex in Jakarta on Wednesday, 20 May 2026.
‘I just checked earlier; perhaps this is the first time,’ Dasco said at the Parliament Complex in Jakarta, on Tuesday, 19 May 2026.
He said, in principle, ministers who previously spoke on the KEM-PPKF did so on behalf of the president. Therefore, he added, a president can also convey this matter directly.
‘That is permissible. This serves as an introduction to the preparation of the APBN 2027,’ Dasco said.
The DPR plenary session is planned to be held in Gedung Nusantara, or the ‘turtle building’. DPR staff are currently preparing for the meeting.
