President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to deliver a briefing at the roll call for TNI unit commanders, known as Dansat TNI 2026. The event is planned to take place at the National Defence University in Sentul, Bogor, West Java, on Thursday, 30 April 2026.

Information regarding Prabowo’s attendance was conveyed by the Presidential Secretariat through a 47-second video. The video shared depicts preparations being made to welcome Prabowo at the venue.

Ahead of the briefing, several high-ranking TNI officers were seen to have arrived. These senior Indonesian military officials were observed wearing their service uniforms.

The Presidential Secretariat’s video also shows the roll call participants being greeted by a row of portraits of former presidents in the lobby area before entering the briefing room. Portraits visible include those of President Sukarno, President Soeharto, and President Prabowo.

Yesterday, Wednesday, 29 April 2026, the Army Chief of Staff, General Maruli Simanjuntak, presented various flagship TNI Army programmes during the Dansat roll call for Fiscal Year 2026 at the same location. This roll call is claimed to be a momentum for aligning visions and steps in supporting the TNI’s primary duties while strengthening tangible contributions to national development.

Quoting a written statement on tniad.mil.id, in his presentation, Maruli stated that the TNI Army not only focuses on defence aspects but also actively plays a role in accelerating development and improving community welfare, in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s policies. These programmes are also claimed to be designed to address real community needs, particularly in areas still facing limitations in infrastructure access and basic services.

In the field of clean water, for example, Maruli explained that the borehole programme stemmed from direct experience witnessing community difficulties in obtaining water, including in drought-affected areas. “To be honest, I gathered information about water while on the move, so it’s not because I had prior information, then created these water programmes,” he said on Wednesday.

As a result, based on data they have compiled, since 2020, 7,217 water source points have been built in various regions of Indonesia.

On the other hand, regarding infrastructure development, Maruli conveyed that the TNI Army targets building 1,244 bridges, with 336 bridges completed and 908 bridges in progress over approximately 1.5 years. This programme is part of efforts to strengthen regional connectivity, including through the construction of pioneer bridges targeted at more than 7,000 units across Indonesia.

Meanwhile, in the environmental sector, the army branch is also promoting collaboration with local governments and related agencies in community-based waste management. According to Maruli, sorted waste will be processed into alternative fuel in the form of diesel. This is claimed as an innovative solution in addressing environmental problems while supporting energy resilience.

Maruli hopes that the unit commanders will be able to implement these programmes optimally in the field, by innovating, being responsive to community needs, and strengthening synergy with local governments and all components of the nation.
