Prabowo Sends Teams to China, India, and Egypt to Study Best Practices for National Development
Jakarta, VIVA – President Prabowo Subianto has revealed that the government is pursuing best practices from a number of countries in order to accelerate national development.
To this end, the government has sent teams to China, India and Egypt to study the technologies, methods and policies deemed to have been successfully applied in those countries.
“I have sent teams everywhere. I sent a team to China, a team to India, a team to Egypt to observe, to take notes, to learn. We are taking the best from other nations,” said Prabowo, whilst attending the handover ceremony of 62,000 subsidised homes for low-income communities (MBR) in Batang, Central Java, on Thursday, 30 July 2026.
The President said the same approach is being applied to the development of the national housing programme. According to him, the government is searching for the most efficient construction techniques whilst engaging the best partners so that housing provision for the public can be accelerated.
“So it is the same in the housing sector. We are seeking the best techniques. And we are inviting the best partners,” he said.
Although reluctant to make grand promises, Prabowo assured that the government will continue to work at high speed so that the benefits of development can be felt by the public as soon as possible. According to him, accelerating development programmes forms part of efforts to drive the wheels of the national economy.
“My brothers and sisters, I do not wish to make many promises, but we shall see in the developments to come — our plans will continue. For us, we will work very quickly so that we can soon deliver real results to the people and get our economy moving,” he asserted.
Prabowo also stated that the government is on the right track in carrying out its development agenda. Amid a global situation full of pressure, he believes the various policies pursued over the past two years are beginning to show tangible results.
“I think that is already clear. We have proven in almost two years that we are on the right path, and the results are tangible. The world crisis is not a minor one. The world crisis is real. War is extremely dangerous and devastating. That is why we must remain united,” he said.
On that occasion, he reminded his audience that global uncertainty demands the government manage the budget with greater discipline. He asked all officials to improve efficiency, tighten oversight and close off every potential leak so that national economic resilience is maintained.
