Prabowo Sends Purple Orchids and Birthday Wishes to Jokowi

President Prabowo Subianto extended birthday greetings to Indonesia’s 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on his 65th birthday by sending a bouquet of purple orchids. The flowers were received at Jokowi’s private residence in Sumber, Banjarsari, Solo, Central Java.

According to reports, the orchid arrangement from Prabowo was placed in the home’s garage alongside flowers from other prominent figures, including a bouquet from Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya. A household staff member, Tika, noted that the flowers from Prabowo arrived on Sunday evening (21/6) but were only reported to the family on Monday morning (22/6) as the residence’s operational hours had ended.

In his message, Prabowo wrote: “With respect, on a personal note, I wish a Happy 65th Birthday to Mr Joko Widodo.” He expressed hopes that the Almighty would grant Jokowi a long life, good health, protection, and smoothness in carrying out his duties for the nation. “May God Almighty always grant long life, health, protection, and smoothness to Mr Joko Widodo and his extended family in carrying out their duties for Greater Indonesia. For an Indonesia that continues to advance,” the message read.
