Prabowo Selects 1.1-Ton Limousin Cow Diego for Kuningan's Idul Adha Sacrifice

KUNINGAN — The livestock farm owned by Yuswardi, known as Kang Yus, in Cilaja Village, Kramatmulya Subdistrict, has suddenly drawn public attention after one of his cows was purchased by President Prabowo for this year’s Idul Adha sacrifice.

Kang Yus revealed that Diego was selected after a rigorous selection process, including the livestock’s origin, care routine, feed quality, health condition, and size and weight. ‘The chosen cow is a Limousin breed. Its legs are strong, large, tall, and long,’ Kang Yus said on Monday, 25 May 2026.

He added that the cow was sold for over Rp100 million and will be handed over to the Masjid Agung Kuningan officials for slaughter during Idul Adha. The sacrificial meat will then be distributed to eligible residents.

Diego’s selection as the President’s sacrificial animal has become a source of pride not only for Kang Yus but also for Kuningan Regency’s livestock sector, which is increasingly developing and capable of producing high-quality livestock.
