President Prabowo Subianto requested prayers and support to overcome difficulties. The Head of State conveyed this to the ulama present at a state-level commemoration of Nuzulul Quran for the year 1447 Hijriah or 2026 CE.

During his speech, Prabowo invited the distinguished guests to work together and labour hard to secure and save the entire population. “I humbly request your continued prayers and support; we will succeed, we will prevail, we will overcome all difficulties,” said Prabowo at the State Palace in Central Jakarta on Tuesday evening, 10 March 2026.

Prabowo stated that his administration would eradicate those who have long damaged Indonesia’s economy. He also pledged to uphold justice. “We will eradicate them, we will confront them, and we will implement, we will establish truth and justice,” said Prabowo.

In his address, the General Chairman of Gerindra Party also expressed his determination to eliminate corruption and embezzlement from the nation. According to him, no country succeeds if its government cannot purify itself from corruption.

“This is a teaching of religion and history. We must not be defeated by those who wish to seize the people’s wealth, take it to other nations, and keep the Indonesian nation and people in a state of weakness,” said Prabowo.

Prabowo also stated that Indonesia will continue to champion peace in the world. However, according to him, this effort cannot be accomplished through prayer and hope alone. “But also through determination, through hard work to achieve prosperity and justice,” said Prabowo.

Prabowo said peace must be fought for. “We recognise that it is impossible for peace to fall from the heavens without determination and hard work from all of us,” said the former Defence Minister.

According to Prabowo, maintaining peace is also a teaching of nearly all religions and all their adherents. “We will strive very hard to maintain peace,” he said.
