Prabowo Seeks Prayers and Support from Religious Scholars to Overcome Difficulties
JAKARTA — President Prabowo Subianto has called for prayers and support from religious scholars to enable him to overcome all difficulties amid uncertain geopolitical dynamics.
The prayers should include strength for him to eradicate corruption and confront those who damage Indonesia’s economy.
This was conveyed by Prabowo while giving guidance at the state-level Nuzulul Qur’an commemoration event for the year 1447 H/2026 M at the State Palace, the Presidential Palace Complex in Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (10 March 2026).
“I ask for your continued prayers, I ask for your support, we will succeed. We will prevail, we will overcome all difficulties. We will eradicate those who have hitherto damaged our economy,” Prabowo said at the event on Tuesday evening.
He pledged to uphold truth and justice, in accordance with the mandate he has been given as Head of State.
“We will eradicate them, we will face them, and we will act, we will uphold truth and justice,” he said.
Beyond this, he called on religious scholars and community leaders to unite and work hard together.
All of this, he continued, is solely to improve the people’s welfare.
“This is a teaching of religion, it is also a teaching of history. No nation succeeds when its government cannot purify itself from corruption. This is a religious and historical teaching. We cannot be defeated by those who want to take the people’s wealth, take it to another country, and keep the Indonesian nation and people in a state of weakness,” he said.
