Prabowo: Securing State Wealth Will Not Be Without Resistance
President Prabowo Subiante has stated that the Forest Area Order Task Force (Satgas PKH) will face heavy challenges in its mission to protect state wealth from fraudulent parties.
The President noted that government efforts to regulate the management of state assets frequently encounter resistance from those who have long benefited from corrupt practices and fraud.
“I understand and I realise that the challenges you face are not light,” said President Prabowo while providing guidance during the Handover of Administrative Fines and Forest Area Land Phase 8 at the Attorney General’s Office, Jakarta, on Tuesday.
“Every time there are elements of Indonesia’s national leadership who wish to fight corruption, every time there are elements of leadership in this nation who wish to fight smuggling, fight the spread of narcotics, fight fraud, and fight the robbery of state wealth, every time we face significant resistance,” he said.
According to President Prabowo, the parties benefiting from these practices possess considerable power, meaning that enforcement efforts are not always easy.
However, President Prabowo emphasised that the conflict between those seeking to uphold the truth and those defending their own interests is a challenge that has always existed in history.
“The choice lies within ourselves. Do we dare to choose the path of truth, or do we surrender to greedy forces—forces that are disloyal to this nation?” President Prabowo asserted.
The Head of State assessed that Indonesia possesses vast natural wealth, which must be managed for the benefit of the people and the state.
“Forces that insult the people, forces that work to ensure Indonesia remains poor. Even though we are a very wealthy nation,” he added.
