Prabowo scheduled to meet Jokowi and SBY at the Palace

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to receive visits from former presidents at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta this Saturday afternoon. State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi stated that, based on the latest information received, Indonesia’s 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) are planned to attend the meeting. “We just received information regarding the attendance of Mr President SBY and Mr President Jokowi, but we will confirm the exact time later. Insha’Allah,” Prasetyo said at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Saturday. However, Prasetyo could not yet confirm the attendance of Indonesia’s 5th President Megawati Soekarnoputri at today’s agenda. He stated that, for the time being, there is no information regarding Megawati’s attendance. Previously, Prabowo had first held a courtesy meeting with Megawati at Merdeka Palace a few days ago. In that meeting, which lasted around two hours, they discussed various strategic issues and exchanged views. Prasetyo explained that the discussion between Prabowo and Megawati covered various leadership experiences, including challenges in each different era of government. In addition, geopolitical issues were also part of the discussion. “We all know that every era, every period, has different challenges. But, as a leader, it is certainly very good to be able to provide input to each other and share experiences for the progress of our nation and country,” Prasetyo said.
