The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, is scheduled to attend the National Dhikr and Prayer event taking place at the National Monument (Monas) area, Central Jakarta, on Saturday night. Approximately 100,000 participants from various regions are expected to attend the event.

“I must convey that this national dhikr and prayer activity will be attended by roughly 100,000 participants from Jakarta, West Java, Banten, and other surrounding areas. It is important to highlight that this event will be attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, along with state officials and VIP guests,” stated the Deputy Chief of Metro Jaya Police, Brigadier General Dekananto Eko Purwono, during a briefing at Monas on Saturday.

He noted that the event is a national agenda within the series of celebrations for the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. Dekananto subsequently instructed his personnel not to treat this as a routine or ordinary activity.

“I repeat that today’s event will be attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, state officials, and other VIP guests. Therefore, I remind you again that this is a national agenda and should not be regarded as a mere normative or ordinary event,” he said.

At least 1,263 personnel from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the National Police (Polri), and local government agencies have been deployed to ensure the smooth running of the National Dhikr and Prayer agenda at Monas tonight. The police stated that public access points for entering and exiting the Monas area will be provided at the east, southeast, and Ikada Square gates, while VIP guests will be directed to the west gate of Monas.
