Prabowo Scheduled to Attend Bhayangkara Day Ceremony in Cikeas Tomorrow

President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to lead the 80th Bhayangkara Day anniversary ceremony on Wednesday, 1 July 2026. The celebration of the Indonesian National Police institution’s anniversary is planned to be held at the Police Mobile Brigade Corps Training Unit in Cikeas, Bogor, West Java. Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Headquarters, Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, confirmed that President Prabowo would act as the inspector of the ceremony. “The 80th Bhayangkara Day ceremony will be led by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr Prabowo Subianto, as the Inspector of Ceremony and will be attended by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka,” said Johnny on Tuesday, 30 June 2026. Johnny stated that invited guests to the ceremony also include ranks of ministries/institutions and relevant stakeholders. In the event schedule seen by Tempo, it is listed that the series of Bhayangkara Day activities will begin around 07.00 WIB. Tomorrow’s series of events includes a ceremony, the awarding of honours, demonstrations, a parade, and a thanksgiving gathering. On Thursday, 25 June 2026, President Prabowo summoned National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. During the meeting at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta that day, Sigit outlined the police force’s preparations for welcoming the 2026 Bhayangkara Day commemoration. These preparations include organising a number of comprehensive social and community service activities across the country. “The National Police Chief conveyed the readiness of the Indonesian National Police ranks, who will soon hold the series of 2026 Bhayangkara Day commemorations,” said Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya last Thursday. Bhayangkara Day is commemorated every 1 July. The date marks the momentum of unifying the police forces scattered across various regions of Indonesia after the colonial era into one national entity on 1 July 1946. Teddy said the police are organising community activities as part of this year’s Bhayangkara Day commemoration series. He claimed the social activities are also a way for the National Police to strengthen relations with the community.
