Prabowo Says UN "Prediction" Confirms His Book on Global Crisis

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto stated that the United Nations (UN) has confirmed the energy crisis he wrote about in his book.

He mentioned that several of those books were compiled based on his experiences as a political leader, entrepreneur, former soldier, and ex-TNI general.

“Over the years, I have been convinced, and I have disseminated that the key things are the foundation of the nation’s safety,” said Prabowo during his briefing at the State Palace on Wednesday (8/4/2026).

“Where, several years ago, the UN had already predicted that the world crisis, the crisis that threatens the entire world, consists of three things: food crisis, energy crisis, and water crisis,” he said.

He added that the idea had been poured into various books he wrote in the past.

“I prove that I, if I’m not mistaken, have already distributed or not to all the officials present here, my books over these decades,” he said.

“This as proof that over dozens of years, I have already stated in black and white that the basic problems for the country are those three things. Food, energy, water,” he emphasised.

Head of the Government Communication Agency Angga Raka Prabowo said Prabowo felt it important to give directions to his subordinates up to echelon I.

Angga conveyed that Prabowo gave a briefing for various strategic government programmes.

“The President will certainly deliver a briefing on strategic matters, about government policies, state administration, updates on the current situation. Of course, strategic matters will be conveyed by the President. So we’ll wait after the event,” said Angga.
