Prabowo says Many Countries Are Requesting Help From Indonesia: Australia, India, Brazil, and the Philippines
Jakarta, KOMPAS.com – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has revealed that many countries are now asking for help from Indonesia. One form of assistance that is frequently in demand from other countries is fertilisers. ‘There are now many countries asking for help from us; they are asking for fertiliser assistance because our fertiliser production is higher,’ Prabowo said at the plenary session of the Indonesian House of Representatives at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, on Wednesday, 20 May 2026. Whenever he travels abroad, Prabowo, as Indonesian President, also feels that other countries hold him in high regard. ‘When I go abroad as President of Indonesia, I am very honoured, very honoured,’ he said. ‘We are being asked to provide assistance by Australia, we have given it; India, Brazil, the Philippines. Imagine, brothers, that Indonesia now can help countries richer than us,’ he added. Prabowo said this situation could boost Indonesians’ self-confidence. However, he warned not to become arrogant. ‘This should not make us arrogant, but it should make us more confident,’ he said. ‘We must dare to face difficulties. We must be able to tackle corruption in our country; if so, we will grow extraordinarily,’ he asserted.
