Prabowo Says Indonesia Will Surprise the World Next Year!

President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto is optimistic about Indonesia’s future, which he believes possesses great strength to rise and become an independent and respected nation in the eyes of the world.

This was conveyed by Prabowo during his speech at the inauguration of the Electric Commercial Vehicle Assembly Plant in Magelang, Central Java, on Thursday, 9 April 2026.

Prabowo emphasised that Indonesia is no longer in the position of a country with great potential that has yet to be realised, but is entering a phase of resurgence.

“Next year, we will create a surprise for the entire world. Indonesia is rising. This giant is waking up. We will no longer be the sleeping giant. We are rising,” said Prabowo.

Prabowo’s optimism is supported by various national strengths possessed by Indonesia, from natural resources and technological capabilities to government efforts to strengthen self-reliance in various strategic sectors.

According to him, Indonesia has vast resources, enabling it to face various global challenges.

“We have great strength. We are truly serious. We will be independent, we will be strong, we will stand on our own feet,” said Prabowo.

Prabowo also affirmed that Indonesia’s future is bright, especially for the younger generation who will continue national development. “So for the young people, our future is bright,” he stressed.

Prabowo added that various development breakthroughs, including the development of national industry and technology, will continue to be promoted so that Indonesia becomes stronger and able to make significant contributions to the world.

“Indonesia is not dark. Indonesia is very bright. We are very strong. Getting stronger,” he added.
