Prabowo says he regained energy after attending PKB anniversary celebration
“To be honest, I was feeling rather tired, but as soon as I arrived, I felt a different kind of energy.”
Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto said he felt re-energised after receiving a warm welcome from a drum band parade and the Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa (PKB) march upon attending the party’s 28th anniversary celebration at the Jakarta Convention Centre (JCC) on Thursday evening.
“To be honest, I was feeling rather tired, but as soon as I arrived, I felt a different kind of energy,” said Prabowo.
The President said he had felt weary before attending the event. However, that tiredness disappeared after he was welcomed by a drum band performance playing national struggle songs at the entrance to the venue.
“PKB welcomed me with a drum band, playing ‘Maju Tak Gentar’ — it was very stirring,” said Prabowo, to applause from PKB cadres.
“When I entered, I was treated to the PKB march, and then I was given the recommendations from the Ijtima Ulama. PKB is remarkable, extraordinary,” he said.
The 28th anniversary celebration was attended by the leadership of the Central Executive Board (DPP), the Syuro Council, and representatives of PKB officials from various regions across Indonesia.
On that occasion, Prabowo also received a document of recommendations from the Ijtima Ulama Indonesia, presented as a form of support for the government’s policies.
