Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - President Prabowo Subianto has revealed that the country’s wealth is stolen daily by bandits and corruptors.

He learned this from the performance of the Task Force for Forest Area Regulation (Satgas PKH), which has deposited Rp 40 trillion into the state coffers from enforcement actions and administrative fines.

“If we do not save that money, it will disappear, devoured by the corruptors and thieves, the robbers,” Prabowo said at the Attorney General’s Office in Jakarta on Wednesday (13/5/2026).

Prabowo stated that this daily theft by state plunderers has prevented Indonesians from enjoying equitable prosperity since independence.

“How can we live prosperously if our wealth is taken every day and flows out, not staying in Indonesia? This struggle is a noble and sacred one; we are on the right path, saving Indonesia’s future,” he remarked.

Therefore, he stressed that his government will strive to prevent the theft of state wealth that flows abroad, no matter the risks.

“They witness every day that Indonesia’s wealth is stolen and taken; this must stop, and we will fight hard to end it at all costs,” Prabowo explained.
