Prabowo Reveals He Reprimanded Rosan Roeslani for Not Providing Feel-Good Reports

President Prabowo Subianto stated that he once told the Head of the Danantara Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara), who is also the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM, Rosan Roeslani, not to provide him with reports that are merely for his pleasure.

Prabowo shared this story while responding to who he considers responsible for producing feel-good reports, as mentioned during the Thanksgiving for the 1st Year of Danantara.

“Because of that, yesterday at Danantara, the first report, after one year (of Danantara), the results are good, like this, like this, like this,” Prabowo recounted, as featured in the YouTube show President Prabowo Answers, monitored by Kompas TV on Friday (20/3/2026).

“I chased him, you (Rosan Roeslani), is the report true or not, you don’t please me, this is in my hands, I am responsible for Danantara.”

“If a superior leader sees difficulties, the difficulties must be pursued, trust the problem,” said Prabowo.

Previously, President Prabowo had issued a stern warning to his ministers not to give him false reports or those that are just to please him.

“Don’t mess around with me anymore, false reports, reports to please, reports for some trickery, I give a stern warning about this,” Prabowo said at the 1st Thanksgiving event for Danantara Indonesia, as broadcast by Kompas TV on Wednesday (11/3/2026).

Prabowo initially revealed that he had received positive reports regarding Danantara’s performance, even though it was only one year old.
