Prabowo Reveals He Has Believed in and Sought Solutions for Crises Predicted by UN for Decades
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - President Prabowo Subianto has revealed that he has been contemplating, believing in, and seeking solutions for three crises that have ultimately been predicted by the United Nations (UN) in its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda.
These crises encompass the food crisis, energy crisis, and water crisis.
“For several years, I have believed in and disseminated the fundamental matters that I am convinced are the basis of the nation’s security. And this has been confirmed by the UN, which validated it in the SDGs they announced,” said Prabowo during a briefing at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday (8/4/2026).
“The Sustainable Development Goals, where several years ago the UN had already forecasted that the world crises that would impact the entire world are three things: the food crisis, energy crisis, and water crisis,” he added.
All three have been elaborated in the books he has written.
“This serves as proof that for several decades, I have put it in black and white that the basic problems for the nation are those three things: food, energy, water,” explained Prabowo.
Prabowo also claimed to have advocated for solutions to these crises for decades, including in government programmes.
Under his leadership, Indonesia is now directed towards food self-sufficiency, energy self-sufficiency, and water self-sufficiency.
“Food, energy, and water have been championed by the UN, and I have fought for this everywhere for years, for over a decade,” he stated.
“Alhamdulillah, we have proven that our government is effective, our government is reliable, and our government can carry out the duties of state well,” said Prabowo.
