Prabowo Returns to Indonesia After 11-Day Foreign Trip
President Prabowo Subianto returned to Indonesia from an 11-day overseas official visit. Prabowo landed at Halim Perdanakusuma Airbase in Jakarta on Friday morning, 27 February 2026.
Upon descending from the presidential aircraft, Prabowo was greeted by rainfall in Jakarta. Several aides were seen sheltering the Gerindra Party Chair and welcoming officials beneath the aircraft stairs.
Several cabinet members welcomed Prabowo at Halim, including Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. As reported by the Presidential Secretariat’s social media, Gibran appeared to salute as he watched Prabowo descend from the aircraft.
Besides Gibran, Prabowo’s arrival was greeted by State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces General Agus Subiyanto, and Chief of the Indonesian National Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo. Prabowo briefly conversed with the officials before departing the airport complex in the presidential vehicle.
Prabowo’s overseas journey commenced from the United States. The Head of State departed Indonesia on Monday of the previous week, 16 February 2026, and arrived in Washington D.C. the following day.
In the United States, Prabowo met with US President Donald Trump to sign a trade agreement. The former defence minister also participated in the inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace in Washington.
Following his time in the United States, Prabowo continued to London, England on Monday, 23 February 2026. In the United Kingdom, Prabowo witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between Indonesia’s Danantara Investment Authority and British semiconductor company Arm Limited.
After leaving England, Prabowo visited Jordan. He visited Basman Palace in Amman to meet with Jordan’s King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein on Wednesday, 25 February 2026.
From Jordan, Prabowo continued his journey to the United Arab Emirates to meet with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Qasr Al Bahr Palace in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, 26 February 2026. Prabowo also broke his fast together with President MBZ and UAE emirs on that occasion.
Prabowo returned to Indonesia from the UAE and arrived at Halim Perdanakusuma Airbase on Friday morning, 27 February 2026.
