Prabowo Returns Home Following Official Visit to United States, United Kingdom, Jordan and UAE
President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Indonesia on Friday, 27 February morning following a series of official visits to several countries. As shown in a live broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube channel, the Garuda Indonesia-1 aircraft carrying Prabowo landed at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in East Jakarta.
His arrival was welcomed by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Commander of the Armed Forces General Agus Subiyanto.
Prabowo began his foreign visit on 19 February. He travelled to the United States to attend the inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace, followed by meetings with 12 prominent American business leaders and discussions aimed at reducing trade tariffs between Indonesia and the United States.
Prabowo subsequently travelled to London, United Kingdom to witness the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Indonesian State Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) and Arm Limited regarding semiconductor industry collaboration.
He then visited Jordan to meet with King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. During the meeting, both discussed the conflict in the Gaza Strip, Palestine. Prabowo reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to pursuing a two-state solution to achieve peace in Palestine.
Finally, Prabowo concluded his working visit in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. He met with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ). Their meeting focused on strengthening economic cooperation. Additionally, the UAE indicated its desire to increase investment in Indonesia.
