President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, arrived back in the country after completing a series of state working visits to Japan and South Korea. Prabowo and his entourage landed at the Indonesian Air Force Base Halim Perdanakusuma on Thursday (2/4) in the early hours. The two leaders agreed to expand strategic cooperation in various sectors, including the economy, digital, energy, and future industries. On that occasion, Prabowo also witnessed the announcement and exchange of 10 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with total investment commitments reaching USD 10.2 billion, equivalent to Rp174 trillion. Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the overall total commitments from both countries reached USD 33.89 billion, or approximately Rp575 trillion. “The overall total reaches USD 33.89 billion, or around Rp575 trillion,” he said. The government assures that it will oversee the realisation of all these commitments to provide tangible impacts on national economic growth, job creation, and improvements in public welfare. This state visit is part of Indonesia’s strategy to strengthen bilateral relations while encouraging international investment and cooperation in various priority sectors.
