Prabowo Requests BPKP and PPATK Reports Following Allegations of Misconduct at National Nutrition Agency
President Prabowo Subianto has directly requested reports from the Head of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), Muhammad Yusuf Ateh, and the Head of the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK), Ivan Yustiavandana, after receiving reports of suspected misconduct within the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). The alleged irregularities reportedly involve elements of the agency’s leadership.
“I have received reports for some time now. There are deficiencies, irregularities, and indications of misconduct involving the leadership,” stated Prabowo during the National Consolidation of the MBG Programme, initiated by the BGN at the Sentul International Convention Centre (SICC), Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday (3/6/2026).
Prabowo noted that the reports, which concern potential deviations by the top leadership of the BGN, prompted him to summon the heads of the BPKP and PPATK, along with several other officials, to investigate the matter. He explained that during these meetings, he requested further tracing regarding the allegations. He emphasised that the role of leadership is crucial to an organisation’s quality, and issues at the executive level can significantly impact institutional performance.
The President underscored that the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme, managed by the BGN, is vital for the nation as it targets vulnerable communities and supports the development of future generations. He added that nutritional programmes for school children are instruments used by many developed nations to reduce poverty while enhancing the health and intelligence of the youth. Consequently, Prabowo expressed his support for strengthening supervisory and law enforcement agencies in handling these suspected irregularities.
