Prabowo Reports on Performance of 7 State Institutions, from MPR to Judicial Commission
President Prabowo Subianto reported on the performance of all state institutions during the MPR Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR and DPD in commemoration of the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia at the Nusantara Building, Parliamentary Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Friday (14/8/2026).
“Nation-building is not the work of the President alone. This republic is built by the collective efforts of all state institutions, central and regional governments, and all the people of Indonesia,” Prabowo stated.
Here are the details of the state institutions’ performance:
- MPR
According to Prabowo, the MPR continues to carry out its role as the ‘House of Nationality’, strengthening constitutional literacy and safeguarding Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. He stressed that democracy must not stop at electoral procedures. “Democracy must fulfil the basic rights of the people and adhere to all articles in our Constitution, including Article 33 and Article 34,” Prabowo said.
- DPR
The former Defence Minister stated that the DPR, together with the government, had completed and enacted 13 draft laws up to July 2026. One of these is Law Number 2 of 2026 concerning the Protection of Domestic Workers, an acknowledgement that every job has dignity and every worker is entitled to protection.
- DPD
According to Prabowo, the DPD has gathered 10,883 aspirations from 38 provinces and brought them into dialogue with the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas as input for the 2027 Government Work Plan. He said the DPD is also continuing to advocate for the Draft Law on Archipelagic Regions, which is now entering tripartite discussions with the DPR and the government.
- Supreme Court (MA)
Prabowo noted that the Supreme Court handled 38,148 cases in 2025 and decided 37,973 cases, achieving a productivity rate of 99.54 percent. A total of 96.74 percent of cases were resolved in less than three months. “This is the highest achievement of timely case settlement in the history of the Supreme Court. Indeed, justice delayed is injustice prolonged,” Prabowo said.
- Constitutional Court (MK)
Throughout 2025, the Constitutional Court handled 701 cases and petitions, including 334 disputes over regional head election results. A total of 598 cases and petitions have been decided. “As of 23 July 2026, 84.51 percent of petitions to the MK were submitted online, so citizens from Aceh to Papua do not always have to come to Jakarta,” Prabowo stated.
- Audit Board (BPK)
According to Prabowo, the BPK ensures that every rupiah of the people’s money is used correctly and appropriately. Throughout 2025, BPK audit recommendations resulted in the recovery of state finances amounting to Rp 112 trillion. “Global trust in Indonesian auditors is also increasing. The BPK was elected as Chair of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) for the 2028-2031 period and as a member of the United Nations Board of Auditors for the 2026-2032 period,” Prabowo said.
- Judicial Commission (KY)
From January to June 2026, the Judicial Commission received 1,402 public reports and 622 requests for trial monitoring. The KY proposed sanctions for 121 judges found to have violated the code of ethics, including 14 moderate sanctions and 17 severe sanctions. “We safeguard the independence of judges. We improve the welfare of judges. But independence means nothing without judicial accountability,” Prabowo concluded.
