Prabowo Reportedly to Appoint Officials Today, Qodari Speaks Out

Head of the Presidential Staff Office, M. Qodari, has responded to reports of the appointment of several officials by President Prabowo Subianto today. According to Qodari, the appointment of officials or reshuffles is entirely the prerogative of President Prabowo. “It is all the President’s prerogative. We just wait for developments from him,” Qodari said via a short message on Monday (27/4). Lately, rumours of a reshuffle in the Merah Putih Cabinet have resurfaced again. Deputy Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya also commented on the reshuffle rumours. “Just wait,” Teddy said at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Tuesday (7/4). However, Teddy did not directly answer when the reshuffle would take place. “Later, the President will explain,” he said. Prabowo last conducted a reshuffle on 5 February 2026. At that time, he appointed Juda Agung as Deputy Minister of Finance. Juda replaced Thomas Djiwandono as Deputy Minister of Finance. Thomas Djiwandono left the position after being elected as Deputy Governor of BI. Thomas replaced Juda, who previously resigned from the position of Deputy Governor of BI.
