Prabowo Reminds Citizens to Remain Calm Amid Global Turmoil

President Prabowo Subianto believes the current global situation is filled with uncertainty, with various nations facing crisis pressures that have impacted world economic conditions.

During his address at the Full Cabinet Meeting on Preparation for Eid al-Fitr 2026, held at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Friday, the President instructed the government to address this situation with vigilance without halting economic activity.

“We must manage this crisis, but the economy must continue to run, and people must remain calm,” he stated.

He emphasised that the wheels of public life must continue to turn to ensure stability and public tranquillity are maintained. The President also conveyed that Indonesia still possesses the strength and capacity to face various global challenges.

According to him, the national situation generally remains under governmental control to date. “Broadly speaking, we can still manage it,” he said.

For this reason, the President reminded all government officials to work solidly in maintaining stability, so that the public can carry out activities with peace of mind amid global economic dynamics.
