PAN Deputy Chairman Saleh Partaonan Daulay considers it reasonable for President Prabowo Subianto to mention groups unwilling to cooperate in building the nation. Saleh stated that Prabowo wants to invite all parties to participate.

“We take the positive side. I see that Prabowo wants to invite all parties to get involved and participate. Therefore, Prabowo wants those who criticise to also help. Whatever their field and expertise, all are invited,” Saleh said when contacted on Thursday (9/4/2026).

He conveyed that Prabowo is aware that building Indonesia is not easy. Many sectors, he said, need to be worked on together with other parties.

“Prabowo is fully aware that building Indonesia is not easy. There are many things he can touch and work on, but many also require cooperation with other parties. At this point, Prabowo hopes everyone joins in,” he said.

Furthermore, Saleh mentioned that Prabowo is not anti-criticism. However, Prabowo, he continued, wants critics to also help build the nation.

“Regarding criticism, I think that’s normal. Prabowo is an old hand in the military and politics. Criticism, suggestions, and input are definitely regulars. Up to now, they still exist. Well, Prabowo wants all those who criticise to also act and cooperate,” he stated.

Saleh also hopes that the situation and conditions are maintained to remain calm and not tumultuous. If there is criticism and input, he said, it can be conveyed through the proper channels.

“There are many channels that can be taken. Besides through the KSP, it can also be through all the existing ministries. If it concerns legal matters, it can be submitted to the APH,” said this Chairman of Commission VII of the DPR.

Prabowo’s Statement

Previously, in a government working meeting at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Wednesday (8/4), President Prabowo Subianto mentioned the phenomenon of groups that do not want to cooperate with the government but remain active in launching criticisms. Prabowo emphasised that the government continues to run and focuses on serving the people despite facing criticism.

In his direction, Prabowo admitted to having studied reports from his subordinates showing that the current national condition is still relatively safe and stable. Although the geopolitical situation in the Middle East is heating up.

“I have studied the data and figures, and this is a good opportunity. After I studied the figures and received reports from my ministers, it turns out our condition is quite safe,” Prabowo said.

Prabowo then mentioned the emergence of criticism from certain groups towards his government. Prabowo admitted he has no issue if certain groups do not want to cooperate with the government.

“Indeed, there is one phenomenon that we all feel, that there are groups in society, our brothers and sisters too, the big family of the NKRI as well, who have an attitude that can be said to be very unwilling to cooperate. We respect it, we have no problem,” he stated.
