Prabowo Recounts Attempts to Bribe Him

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has admitted that he has been the target of bribery attempts during his two years serving as President.

He stated that he is undeterred by parties attempting to cause harm to the state. “Not just ministers or directors-general, even I have been approached with bribes,” Prabowo said during an event for the PKH Task Force of the Attorney General’s Office in Jakarta on Tuesday (6/10).

He noted that many parties are attempting to bribe the government, targeting not only himself but also his Ministers and Directors-General. Prabowo acknowledged that Indonesia is currently facing significant challenges.

Expressing his refusal to see the country undermined, Prabowo declared that he will not remain silent. “Believe that truth will prevail; we are on the right path,” he said.
