Prabowo Receives Singapore PM at Palace, 26 Agreements to Be Signed

President Prabowo Subianto received a visit from Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. During this meeting, Indonesia and Singapore are set to sign 26 cooperation agreements.

Based on observations on Monday (6 July 2026), PM Wong arrived at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta at 11.00 WIB. PM Wong was greeted directly by Prabowo, who had been waiting at the pillars of the Merdeka Palace.

In the courtyard of the Merdeka Palace, a number of honour guard troops had lined up to welcome PM Wong. They played the national anthems of Singapore and Indonesia.

Subsequently, both leaders entered the credentials room to shake hands. The series of events continued with a tête-à-tête or four-eyes meeting and a bilateral meeting with their respective delegations.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the meeting between Prabowo and PM Wong is an annual agenda. This meeting will agree upon 26 agreements or MoUs.

"The annual meeting between the President of the Republic of Indonesia and the Prime Minister of Singapore, there will also be 26 agreements/MoUs to be signed later," said Teddy.

At this meeting, PM Wong was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong, Minister-in-charge of Public Service and Minister for Defence Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Foreign Affairs Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Social and Family Development Masagos Zulkifli, and Minister for Manpower with responsibility for Energy and Science & Technology Tan See Leng.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian delegation accompanying Prabowo included Foreign Minister Sugiono, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and Presidential Secretary Rizky Irmansyah.
