Prabowo Receives Report from Manpower Minister on National Internship Programme Achievements
Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto received a report on the development of strategic employment programmes, particularly in the field of competency development and vocational training for the national workforce, from the Minister of Manpower Yassierli at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Monday.
“First, the National Internship has completed its first batch with over 14,000 participants. I reported on it, including the evaluation results,” the Manpower Minister said after the meeting.
Yassierli explained that the outcome of the national internship is that participants receive free certification available at the Ministry of Manpower’s training centres.
Regarding plans to increase the national internship quota, the Manpower Minister conveyed that the evaluation results and recommendations from the implemented programme have been submitted.
“It will certainly be followed up with other technical ministries, the Ministry of Finance, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, and so on,” he added.
In addition to the national internship programme, Yassierli also reported on the implementation of the first batch of the national vocational training, which is currently underway. Yassierli explained that this programme is designed to reach two target groups.
The Manpower Minister emphasised that vocational training is one of the strategic solutions in enhancing the competencies of the national workforce. This is supported by the distribution of Manpower Ministry training centres in various regions.
“We already have several schemes and so on, and alhamdulillah, he supports it. And this will be one of our priority programmes in 2026,” he said.
This is part of the government’s broader strategy to improve the competitiveness of the national workforce, while accelerating the creation of quality employment opportunities.
