President Prabowo Subianto received a visit from renowned investor Ray Dalio at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday (27/3/2026). This was revealed by Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa following the meeting. “I accompanied the President in receiving Mr Ray Dalio,” said Purbaya to reporters. According to him, Ray Dalio will assist in promoting Indonesian business opportunities abroad, as well as providing inputs on projects that can be developed domestically. “He’s helping us promote ourselves abroad and there are some inputs on projects that can make our economy move faster. There are some energy projects and others. Just general projects,” said Purbaya. Purbaya admitted to only listening and promising to resolve slow-running projects through the Debottlenecking Task Force. “We will handle it in the Debottlenecking Team, and in a short time we will solve it,” he said. Furthermore, Purbaya explained that several investments expected to enter Indonesia include those in the energy sector, related to Solar Power Plants (PLTS), and Special Economic Zones (KEK). “There are projects with investors from Singapore and some from abroad that are being pushed to go faster. I don’t know the details; you should ask the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources or the Coordinating Minister for the Economy,” said Purbaya. Asked separately, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto was still reluctant to answer regarding the discussions between the President and Ray Dalio in that meeting. “It’s related to Mr Ray Dalio,” said Airlangga.
