Prabowo Receives Ray Dalio at the Palace as Danantara Advisor
President Prabowo Subianto received US investor Ray Dalio at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. Prabowo and Ray discussed the optimisation and future role of Danantara.
Prabowo received Ray Dalio as one of Danantara’s advisors and a key figure in the international financial world at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Friday (27/3/2026).
“Danantara, as Indonesia’s strategic investment management body established by President Prabowo Subianto in February 2025 to optimise state assets, manage strategic SOEs, and act as a sovereign wealth fund, continues to collaborate with strategic partners to enhance Danantara’s credibility and strength in the international arena,” stated the Setkab Instagram account.
Accompanying Prabowo were Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Minister of Investment and Head of BPI Danantara Rosan Roeslani, Minister of Education Brian Yuliarto, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
“The meeting discussed Indonesia’s economic prospects as well as the optimisation and strengthening of Danantara’s role as the engine of Indonesia’s economic growth,” it added.
Prabowo also received Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, who travelled to Jakarta on Friday (27/3). Anwar’s arrival was at the direct invitation of Prabowo on 27 March.
The planned visit was announced by the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its official website, as reported on Thursday (26/3). The two leaders will focus on discussing the impacts of the crisis stemming from the escalating US-Israel war with Iran.
“Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim will make a special visit to Jakarta, Republic of Indonesia, on 27 March 2026 at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto,” the statement read.
