President Prabowo Subianto received the arrival of eight ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary (LBBP) from friendly nations at the Merdeka Palace, Central Jakarta, on Monday, 8 June 2026. The ambassadors presented their letters of credence to the President of the Republic of Indonesia.

The presentation ceremony commenced with the playing of each nation’s national anthem upon the ambassadors’ arrival at the Merdeka Palace, followed by the direct submission of their credentials to President Prabowo.

The eight ambassadors received by President Prabowo included:

  1. Sumadhurika Sashikala Premawardhane, Ambassador-designate of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Indonesia;

  2. Christopher Baltigu Montero, Ambassador-designate of the Republic of the Philippines to the Republic of Indonesia;

  3. Yoon Soongu, Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Indonesia;

  4. Petr Kopřiva, Ambassador-designate of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Indonesia;

  5. Abdalfatah Ahmed Khalil Alsattari, Ambassador-designate of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Indonesia;

  6. Dimitrios Michalopoulos, Ambassador-designate of the Hellenic Republic to the Republic of Indonesia;

  7. Salam Al Achkar, Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Lebanon to the Republic of Indonesia; and

  8. Menissa Rambally, Ambassador-designate (Non-Resident) of Saint Lucia to the Republic of Indonesia.

Following the presentation of credentials, each ambassador participated in a photo session with the Head of State. Subsequently, President Prabowo hosted the ambassadors in the rear veranda of the Merdeka Palace. After the meeting concluded, the ambassadors bid farewell to President Prabowo, accompanied by the playing of the Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya. Accompanying the President during the event were the Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Deputy Foreign Minister Muhammad Anis Matta, Deputy Foreign Minister Arrmanatha Christiawan Nasir, and Deputy Foreign Minister Arif Havas Oegroseno.
