Prabowo Receives Credentials from 8 Ambassadors of Friendly Nations, Including Palestine
President Prabowo Subianto received eight ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary (LBBP) from friendly nations at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Monday (8/6/2026). The ambassadors presented their letters of credence directly to President Prabowo.
The ceremony commenced with the playing of the national anthems of each respective country upon the ambassadors’ arrival at the Merdeka Palace. Following the presentation of the credentials, the ambassadors participated in a photo session with the President and were subsequently received by Prabowo in the rear veranda of the palace.
According to the press release from the Bureau of Press, Media, and Information of the Presidential Secretariat, the eight ambassadors received by Prabowo were:
Christopher Baltazar Montero, Ambassador-designate of the Republic of the Philippines to the Republic of Indonesia;
Yoon Soongu, Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Indonesia;
Petr Kopřiva, Ambassador-designate of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Indonesia;
Abdalfatah Ahmed Khalil Alsattari, Ambassador-designate of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Indonesia;
Dimitrios Michalopoulos, Ambassador-designate of the Hellenic Republic (Greece) to the Republic of Indonesia;
Salam Al Achkar, Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Lebanon to the Republic of Indonesia; and
Menissa Rambally, Non-Resident Ambassador of Saint Lucia to the Republic of Indonesia.
The ceremony concluded with the playing of the Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya. Accompanying President Prabowo during the event were the Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and Deputy Foreign Ministers Muhammad Anis Matta, Arrmanatha Christiawan Nasir, and Arif Havas Oegroseno.
