President Prabowo Subianto received China’s Minister of State Security (MSS), Chen Yixin, at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday, discussing enhancements to security stability in Asia and the world.

As posted on the Cabinet Secretariat’s Instagram account (@sekretariat.kabinet) on Friday, the meeting took place in a warm atmosphere reflecting the good relations between Indonesia and China.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, when confirmed by ANTARA, stated that on this occasion, Chen expressed China’s hope to work together with friendly countries to build cooperation in maintaining and enhancing security stability in Asia and the world.

In response to China’s hopes, President Prabowo reiterated Indonesia’s perspective on the importance of regional stability for Indonesia in supporting sustainable economic growth.

Furthermore, President Prabowo welcomed the MSS’s hopes for increasing cooperation for the benefit of both countries,” said Teddy.

At the meeting, President Prabowo was accompanied by the Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), M. Herindra, State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy.

Enhancing good relations and cooperation between the MSS and BIN in the future forms part of the foreign policy of the Prabowo Administration, which has a vision to strengthen Indonesia’s national security amid geopolitical dynamics in a multipolar world order through active roles in various dimensions of international relations.
