Prabowo Receives China's Minister of State Security, Discusses Enhancing Asian Stability

President Prabowo Subianto received China’s Minister of State Security (MSS), Chen Yixin, in Jakarta. The meeting addressed hopes for maintaining and enhancing security in Asia and the wider world.

Prabowo received China’s Minister of State Security, Chen Yixin, at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday (27/3/2026). During the meeting, Prabowo was accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and Deputy Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

“The meeting proceeded in a warm atmosphere, reflecting the good relations between the two countries. On this occasion, Chen expressed the PRC’s hopes to work together with friendly nations to build cooperation in maintaining and enhancing security stability in Asia and the world,” stated the Setkab account on Instagram.

Prabowo emphasised the importance of regional stability in supporting the economy. Enhanced cooperation was also discussed in the meeting between Prabowo and Chen Yixin.

“Welcoming the PRC’s hopes, President Prabowo reiterated Indonesia’s view on the importance of regional stability for Indonesia in supporting sustainable economic growth. Furthermore, President Prabowo welcomed the MSS’s hopes to enhance cooperation for the benefit of both countries,” it added.

Prabowo was also accompanied by Head of BIN, M. Herindra, in the meeting with Chen Yixin at the Palace. Enhancing cooperation between China’s Ministry of State Security and BIN was also a topic of discussion.

“Enhancing good relations and cooperation between MSS and BIN in the future is part of the foreign policy of President Prabowo’s administration, which has a vision to strengthen Indonesia’s national security amid geopolitical dynamics in a multipolar order through an active role in various dimensions of international relations,” it further stated.

On the same day, Prabowo received US investor Ray Dalio at the Palace. Prabowo and Ray discussed optimising and the future role of Danantara.

Prabowo received Ray Dalio, one of Danantara’s advisors and a key figure in the international financial world, at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta.

“Danantara, as Indonesia’s strategic investment management body established by President Prabowo Subianto in February 2025 to optimise state assets, manage strategic SOEs, and act as a sovereign wealth fund, continues to collaborate with strategic partners to enhance Danantara’s credibility and strength internationally,” stated the Setkab Instagram account.
