Prabowo Receives Call from Mahmoud Abbas, Reaffirms Support for Palestine

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto received a telephone call from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Jakarta on Monday (15/06/2026). This communication is part of the close relationship between Indonesia and Palestine, which has long been maintained in a spirit of brotherhood, solidarity, and support for the Palestinian people’s struggle.

Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Inf Teddy Indra Wijaya explained that President Abbas provided an update regarding the current situation in Palestine to Prabowo. During the conversation, he added, President Abbas also expressed his appreciation for the consistent support Indonesia continues to provide to the Palestinian people.

“President Mahmoud Abbas conveyed the latest developments in Palestine and expressed appreciation for Indonesia’s consistent and tangible support for the Palestinian people,” said Teddy.

According to him, President Abbas also expressed his hope that Indonesia would continue to play an active role in supporting the Palestinian struggle amidst current global dynamics. Teddy noted that Indonesia’s leadership under Prabowo holds an important position and attracts significant attention in various international forums.

“President Mahmoud Abbas also conveyed his hope that Indonesia continues to play an active role in supporting the struggle of the Palestinian people. According to President Abbas, Indonesia’s voice and leadership under President Prabowo are of great significance and receive widespread attention in various international forums,” said Teddy.
