Prabowo Receives Adi Bhakti Tani Nelayan Maha Utama Gold Medal
President Prabowo Subi.anto has received an award in the form of the Adi Bhakti Tani Nelayan Maha Utama Gold Badge from the National Farmers and Fishermen Alliance (KTNA) during the XVII National Farmers and Fishermen Week (PENAS) 2026. The event took place at the Limboto Sport Centre, Gorontalo Regency, Gorontalo Province, on Wednesday (24/6).
The award was presented as a form of appreciation for Prabowo’s commitment, support, and attention to the welfare of farmers and fishermen in Indonesia. The gold badge was presented directly by the Chairman of the PENAS XVII Committee, who also serves as the General Chairperson of the National KTNA, Muhammad Yadi Sofyan Noor.
On this occasion, Yadi expressed his gratitude to President Prabowo for his contributions to driving the progress of the national agricultural and fisheries sectors. He explained that PENAS serves as a platform that brings together farmers, fishermen, extension workers, academics, business actors, the government, and the private sector to strengthen synergy towards sustainable food independence.
“On behalf of the large family of the National Farmers and Fishermen Alliance, I express our highest appreciation and gratitude to the President of the Republic of Indonesia for his attention, care, support, and commitment to farmers and fishermen,” said Yadi.
Yadi added that Prabowo’s presence among food sector stakeholders serves as a source of motivation and a tangible form of support for farmers and fishermen in their roles in building national food security.
“The President’s presence is both an honour and an inspiration for us to work, innovate, and contribute to agricultural development,” he added.
In his remarks, Prabowo expressed his appreciation to the farmers and fishermen who have played a vital role in maintaining national food availability. According to him, the increase in Indonesia’s food production is the result of the hard work and dedication of farmers and fishermen across various regions.
“Thank you to all the farming and fishing communities of Indonesia; thank you for your hard work. The journey ahead is long, but you have proven your continued spirit. As food producers, you are truly the backbone of the Republic of Indonesia,” he stated.
President Prabowo noted that the support from farmers and fishermen, including groups such as HKTI and KTNA, was a significant factor in his victory in the 2024 Presidential Election.
KTNA is encouraging farmers to select drought-resistant rice varieties such as Inpago (upland rice), amphibious varieties, and other adaptive varieties. Furthermore, KTNA hopes the government will maintain grain prices to prevent them from dropping during the peak harvest season. The Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas), Arief Prasetyo Adi, responded to these concerns.
The Minister of Agriculture, Andi Amran Sulaiman, stated that this year’s primary target focuses on rice and maize as strategic commodities that must be available daily.
KTNA remains highly optimistic that Indonesia will become a global food granary by 2045, with 23 years remaining to realise this vision.
