President Prabowo Subianto has said the cooperative movement has always accompanied him on his chosen path. Prabowo noted that despite losing the presidential election several times, the cooperative movement continued to stand by him.

This was conveyed by Prabowo at the peak of the National Cooperative Day commemoration at the Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, on Sunday (12/7/2026). Prabowo referred to the cooperative movement as his own family.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I truly feel I am among my own family. I feel that the cooperative movement is my family. Even though I lost the presidential election several times, I felt the cooperative movement was always with me,” said Prabowo in his speech.

“We have not yet succeeded, but we continue to fight for the people of Indonesia!” he exclaimed.

Prabowo explained that he was eventually given the mandate to lead Indonesia. He stressed that he would fight with all his might for the people.

“And finally, I received the mandate from the Indonesian people, and I will carry out this mandate with all my strength. I will fight with all my might for the greatest prosperity of the people of Indonesia,” he stated.

Prabowo said Indonesia is a very wealthy country. However, he feels heartbroken because Indonesia’s wealth is being stolen by irresponsible parties.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we understand that our country is very rich. After I was inaugurated, in the first weeks of my presidency, I realised just how wealthy the Indonesian nation is. But I was also saddened, I felt a blow to my gut seeing how much of Indonesia’s wealth is being stolen,” he added.
