Prabowo Rebukes Stubborn Businessman: 8 Years of Defiance!
President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto has rebuked illegal mining entrepreneurs who remain defiant and ignore regulations, stating that their business permits have already been revoked.
Prabowo made these remarks when the Forest Area Enforcement Task Force (Satgas PKH) handed over Rp11.4 trillion to the government via Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi at the Attorney General’s Office in Jakarta on Friday, 10 April 2026.
“There has been a Supreme Court decision that has not been executed for over a decade, there is a permit that has been revoked by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, for eight years this entrepreneur has been defiant, he has carried out mining without a permit,” said Prabowo.
Moreover, the Head of State stated that the stubborn entrepreneur has insulted Indonesia’s heroes who have fallen and does not respect the sovereignty of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
“He is mocking the Republic of Indonesia, he is spitting on the sacrifices of those who fell for Indonesia’s independence, he does not respect the NKRI,” he said.
Therefore, Prabowo ordered Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin; National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo; and TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto to enforce the law in accordance with applicable regulations.
“He does not want to cooperate, prosecute him, we have no hesitation and we are not afraid,” he added.
On that occasion, he also affirmed his support for Satgas PKH’s efforts to recover state finances.
Prabowo himself admitted to receiving much information about threats and intimidation faced by Satgas PKH during their work.
Therefore, he assured that he stands behind Satgas PKH. Prabowo also said he would use all available authority to enforce the law without favouritism.
“If anyone obstructs Satgas PKH, they are obstructing the work of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, and believe me, I will use all the authority and power given,” he explained.
