A moment of levity captured attention when President Prabowo Subianto greeted Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander General Agus Subiyanto and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo at the XVII National Farmers and Fishers Week (Penas) peak event in Gorontalo. Prabowo noted that both officials’ names contain parts of his own name and joked that they would therefore be difficult to remove from their posts.

The event was held at the Limboto Sports Center, Gorontalo, on Wednesday (24/6/2026). The quip was made as Prabowo addressed the dignitaries in attendance.

“TNI Commander Agus Subiyanto, Chief of the Indonesian National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. The TNI Commander has ‘Subiyanto’ in his name, the National Police Chief has ‘Prabowo’ in his name. It would be hard to replace them, wouldn’t it?” Prabowo said, to cheers from the audience.

The gathering featured various strategic agendas, including the exchange of agricultural innovation and technology, dialogue with policymakers, and the strengthening of business partnership networks to support increased productivity and national food self-sufficiency.

Members of the Red and White Cabinet in attendance included Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian, Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman, Transmigration Minister Iftitah Sulaiman, Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo, Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi, and Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister Sakti Wahyu Trenggono.
