Jakarta, Kompas.com — President Prabowo Subianto has questioned the slow execution of the 3 Million Homes Programme with Housing Taskforce Chair Hashim Djojohadikusumo.

Hashim made this statement during his speech at the Housing Development Launch event in support of the 3 Million Homes Programme in Manggarai, Jakarta, on Monday (16 March 2026).

President Prabowo assessed the programme appeared to be progressing slowly. However, Hashim explained to the President that several bureaucratic obstacles were contributing to the programme’s suboptimal execution.

Despite this, Hashim noted that the President wishes the programme to move faster so that the public can soon benefit from it.

“Actually, the President wants this to move quickly, quickly,” he said.

Hashim added that acceleration of the housing programme is already becoming visible through various collaborations, including support from various parties such as PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI in developing integrated housing with transport zones.

He stated that the Housing Taskforce was formed to accelerate programme implementation whilst realising equitable prosperity as stipulated in the fifth principle of Pancasila.

“Therefore, the Housing Taskforce was formed to accelerate this process to fulfil our fifth principle, so that Pancasila is not merely a slogan,” he emphasised.
