Prabowo Provides 15 GT Boat Assistance to Miangas Fishermen

President Prabowo Subianto has provided assistance in the form of a 15 gross ton (GT) boat for use by fishermen in Miangas, Talaud Islands Regency, North Sulawesi. “Today we are providing assistance, a boat of 15 gross tons, which is quite large, that’s extraordinary,” said Prabowo during his working visit to Miangas on Saturday (9/5). In addition, Prabowo promised to build a Merah Putih Fishermen’s Village in the area. He hopes that with this, the fishermen can become more prosperous. “In the fishermen’s village, there will be an ice maker, the fishermen’s village will have ice, so all fishermen have ice, then there will be shrimp seed cold storage, there will also be a fishermen’s fuel station, special diesel for fishermen,” he explained. Prabowo also promised to repair schools and puskesmas (community health centres) in Miangas. In particular, it turns out that there is a puskesmas that has not been repaired for a long time. “Earlier I saw several puskesmas locations, the Health Minister (Budi Gunadi Sadikin) whispered to me ‘Sir, for so many years since the time of Pak Harto, the puskesmas has never been repaired’, we will repair all puskesmas in Indonesia, immediately,” he said. The same applies to the schools in Miangas. Prabowo promised to renovate them all, even to the entire corners of the country. “Later all schools will also be renovated, all schools will be renovated this year and in the next two or three years all schools in Indonesia will be renovated,” he stated.
