Prabowo Prepares Studio for Teachers, Enabling Access for Children in Remote Areas
The Prabowo Subianto government is implementing several programmes to ensure equitable and improved quality education across Indonesia. One key initiative involves creating a studio for teachers so that children in remote parts of the country can participate in learning.
“Prabowo will establish a teachers’ studio in Jakarta with complete, international-standard, and modern facilities, where our best teachers are being prepared,” said Arif Jamali, Director of Secondary Education and Special Education at the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, during the Tech & Telco Forum 2026 on Wednesday (6/5/2026).
He explained that the studio will house Indonesia’s top teachers. It is hoped that students will benefit from high-quality learning through this programme.
“We will select the best teachers in Indonesia to teach via this studio, which can be accessed by all children in remote areas, enabling those in the outskirts to receive quality education,” he elaborated.
Additionally, he noted that the government will provide supporting facilities for education, particularly in 3T regions. This will allow communities to access and utilise these facilities.
Prabowo is also known to have provided interactive digital boards to several schools. In the future, Arif said, more of these boards will be added.
Beyond that, supporting facilities will be enhanced, for instance, in locations without electricity or internet access.
“With this, we hope that growth in adapting to technology can be felt by all regions,” Arif stated.
Arif also assured that the government is not only providing interactive boards but also training teachers on how to use them.
“So they can utilise the interactive digital boards. If not upgraded, the interactive board would just replace a whiteboard; it wouldn’t become a smartboard or truly interactive. At worst, it would end up like that viral karaoke incident,” he added.
