Prabowo Prepares 400 BUMN Leadership Candidates for Nine-Month PFLP Programme
President Prabowo Subianto delivered a briefing to participants of the Presidential Future Leaders Program (PFLP) 2026 in Hambalang, West Java, on Sunday (24 May 2026). The government has prepared the programme to develop future leaders for state-owned enterprises (BUMN). According to the Cabinet Secretariat, 400 participants are taking part in the first batch of the PFLP 2026 programme. Designed directly by President Prabowo, the initiative forms part of efforts to strengthen BUMN governance through building human resources with strong character and robust leadership capabilities. ‘The sovereignty of the nation is determined by the quality of its future leaders,’ the programme conveyed. The PFLP 2026 will run for nine months, divided into three main stages. The first stage involves character and discipline building over three months. Participants will then undergo managerial capacity and decision-making strengthening at Danantara Corporate University for four months. In the final stage, participants will complete a two-month internship within ministries, institutions, or BUMN environments. The programme forms part of the government’s strategy to prepare professional, integrity-driven BUMN leaders capable of addressing Indonesia’s future challenges.
