Prabowo Praises PKB Ulama Ijtima Results as a Gift: 'Extraordinary, This Is an Order'

President Prabowo Subianto praised the results of the Ulama Ijtima agreement during the 28th anniversary celebration of the National Awakening Party (PKB). Prabowo considered the Ijtima results, which were presented to him, not just as a gift but as an order. He made the remarks during his speech at the PKB’s 28th anniversary event at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday (23/7/2026). Prior to Prabowo’s speech, a representative of the ulama delivered the contents of the Ijtima results before him. ‘Today I received another gift, extraordinary, the agreement of the Indonesian Ulama Ijtima was just read out. This is extraordinary, this Ulama Ijtima agreement is extraordinary, more knowledge for PKB,’ Prabowo said, praising the Ijtima results. Prabowo then briefly read the contents of the agreement. He read several points written on the paper he was holding. ‘One, strengthening the state to realise a sovereign, advanced, and prosperous Indonesia. The Ulama Ijtima supports Prabowo Subianto’s strategic steps in strengthening national sovereignty,’ Prabowo said. ‘Building economic independence, accelerating industrialisation and downstreaming, realising food and energy security, improving the quality of human resources, and returning the direction of national development to the mandate of Pancasila and Article 33 of the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia for the greatest prosperity of the people,’ he continued. Prabowo joked that the points formulated in the Ijtima results sounded like orders to him. However, he stressed that all the points were in line with his conscience. ‘This is extraordinary. This is an order, but the order is in accordance with my conscience,’ he said. Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka was also present at the PKB’s 28th anniversary celebration. Party leaders in attendance included Golkar Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia, Democrat Chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, PKS President Al Muzammil Yusuf, and PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan. Party elites were also seen, such as Gerindra Daily Chairman Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, NasDem Treasurer Ahmad Sahroni, PAN Secretary General Eko Patrio, Golkar Treasurer Sari Yuliati, PDI Perjuangan Chairman Djarot Saiful Hidayat, Democrat Secretary General Herman Khaeron, and PSI Deputy Chair Isyana Bagoes Oka.
