Prabowo Praises Danantara Performance: Its Leadership Deserves State Honours

President Prabowo Subianto has praised the performance of the Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BP Danantara), which has succeeded in making state-owned enterprises profitable. Prabowo also signalled that Danantara’s leadership deserves to receive a state honour from him.

He made the remarks during his speech at the groundbreaking ceremony for the 100 GWp Solar Power Plant Programme at the Java-Bali Sea Crossing Operation Monument in Gilimanuk, Jembrana Regency, Bali, on Tuesday (25/8/2026).

Prabowo initially noted that the state is always present in handling disasters by deploying helicopters and logistics. According to him, such responses are funded by the government’s success in curbing state financial leakages.

“Where does the money come from? The money comes from what we have saved, from the corruption that has been ongoing. We have stopped these leakages. We are not satisfied yet; we must be even stricter in managing all finances,” Prabowo said.

Prabowo then touched on Danantara’s performance, which he said made him proud in managing state-owned enterprises. It was at this point that he said Danantara’s leadership deserves a state honour.

“As an example, Danantara’s achievements are, in my view, something to be proud of. I think Danantara’s leadership deserves to receive a state honour. In less than two years, Danantara’s income—the income of these state-owned enterprises—has risen by hundreds of percent,” he said.

Prabowo said the success is the fruit of effective leadership in managing the institution. He expressed appreciation that such achievements could occur during his administration.

“Several state-owned enterprises that had been loss-making for more than a decade, even decades, are now beginning to turn a profit. The increases are sometimes beyond what we could have predicted. This is due to leadership, this is due to leadership, this is because Danantara’s leadership is honest and has a great love for the homeland. I am heartened by the achievements we have made,” he said.
