Prabowo: Police Successfully Maintain Zero Terrorism Incidents, a Commendable Achievement

President Prabowo Subianto served as the inspector of ceremonies for the 80th Bhayangkara Day at the Polri Brimob Training Centre in Cikeas, Bogor, West Java. Prabowo expressed his appreciation for the National Police’s achievement in maintaining a zero terrorism incident status over the past several years.

“Successfully maintaining zero terrorism incidents over the last few years,” said Prabowo in his address on Wednesday (1/7/2026).

“This is an achievement that we must appreciate,” he continued.

However, Prabowo warned the National Police not to become complacent, stating that they should never feel too satisfied with their current progress.

“But I also say and remind you, do not be careless. Never become too satisfied,” he stated.

Prabow noted that many challenges lie ahead, including poverty, which he identified as a consequence of corruption, smuggling, and illegal economic activities.

“The challenges remain great; our people are still suffering from poverty. And this poverty is a direct result of corruption, smuggling, and illegal economic activities,” he remarked.

Prabowo emphasised that addressing these issues is a collective responsibility.

“Therefore, the challenge for you, and the challenge for all of us, remains great and numerous,” he said.

The 80th Bhayangkara Day commemoration was held at the Polri Brimob Training Centre in Cikeas, Bogor, West Java, with President Prabowo Subianto leading the ceremony.

Also in attendance were Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka and members of the Red and White Cabinet. The event was also attended by the 7th President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, and the 10th and 12th Vice President, Jusuf Kalla.

“The 80th Bhayangkara Day ceremony will be led by President Prabowo Subianto as the Inspector of Ceremonies, attended by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, as well as all ministries, agencies, and stakeholders,” said the Head of Public Relations for the National Police, Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, to journalists on Tuesday (30/6).

This year’s Bhayangkara Day carries the theme ‘80 Years of Police Service to the Community’. Isir noted that the location reflects the police’s commitment to always being present among the people.

The 80th Bhayangkara Day celebrations involved approximately 9,000 participants, including personnel from the National Police, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), and various elements of the community.
