President Prabowo Subianto attended the first anniversary celebration of Danantara Indonesia at Wisma Danantara Indonesia in South Jakarta on Wednesday, 11 March 2026. During the event, Prabowo expressed his satisfaction with Danantara Indonesia’s Return on Assets (ROA), which increased by 300% throughout 2025. ROA is a financial ratio that indicates how profitable a company is relative to its total assets.

Prabowo initially expressed gratitude that Indonesia now possesses Danantara, a sovereign wealth fund comparable to others worldwide.

“We are grateful that Indonesia now has a sovereign wealth fund that is perhaps the sixth or seventh largest in the world. We are also grateful that over the past year, management has demonstrated that with good governance and proper management, particularly with the right will—with political will and the right spirit—results are already visible,” he said.

Prabowo then disclosed that he had received positive reports regarding Danantara Indonesia’s performance throughout the past year.

“I received a report and I am quite pleased that return on assets for 2025 compared to previous years has increased by more than 300 percent. This is quite good. And this proves our premise for establishing Danantara. That good management is impossible without unified control, under one hand, under one management,” said Prabowo.

“It is impossible for us to manage 250 companies. In fact, I only just learnt it is not 250, but more than 1,000 companies. There is no management lesson anywhere in the world where one management can oversee 1,000 entities,” continued the chairman general of the Gerakan Indonesia Raya Party.
