Prabowo Performs Eid Prayer at Darussalam Mosque in Aceh Tamiang, Sits Between Teddy and Tito

ACEH - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto performed Eid al-Fitr prayers for 1447 Hijriah/2026 CE at Masjid Darussalam, Kampung Simpang, Karang Baru, Aceh Tamiang, Aceh, on Saturday morning (21/3/2026).

According to a broadcast from the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube channel, Prabowo arrived at the prayer area around 07:20 WIB.

He was accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wiajaya and several ministers, including State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and Foreign Minister Sugiono.

Several congregants appeared to take out their mobile phones when Prabowo entered the mosque area.

Upon arriving at the mosque, Prabowo immediately walked in to sit in the front row, flanked by Cabinet Secretary Teddy and Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian.

The Eid prayer then began upon Prabowo’s arrival.

A serene atmosphere enveloped the Eid prayer worship performed by Prabowo and the people of Aceh Tamiang at Masjid Darussalam.

It is known that the government has set 1 Syawal 1447 Hijriah or Eid al-Fitr Day 2026/1447 Hijriah to fall on Saturday, 21 March 2026.

Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar stated that the results of hilal monitoring served as the primary basis for determining Lebaran 2026.

This determination of the beginning of Syawal was based on astronomical calculations (hisab) as well as hilal sightings (rukyatul hilal) from hundreds of points across Indonesia.
